No. Easy Lens is built for people with zero technical background. The AI handles everything - selecting the right building blocks, generating images and 3D assets, writing the code, and assembling the final Lens. All you need to do is describe your idea in plain language (e.g., "Make a game where I dodge falling objects" or "Turn me into a cowboy with a desert background"). If you're a more advanced creator, you can still go deeper with Visual Edits, custom assets, and follow-up prompts to fine-tune your Lens.

Almost any type of Snapchat Lens, including:

You don't need a fully formed idea - or even words - to get started:

• Sketch to Lens - use the built-in drawing tool in the chat bar to sketch your idea directly. The AI will interpret your drawing and turn it into a working Lens.
• Lens from Reference - upload any reference image (a photo, screenshot, or design you like) and Easy Lens will use it as a visual guide to generate a Lens inspired by it.
• Ask for inspiration - simply ask Easy Lens for ideas. Try prompts like "Give me fun game ideas", "Suggest a trending face filter", or "What can I make for Halloween?" and the AI will propose concepts you can build with one tap.

You describe your Lens idea in the chat - for example, "Create a panda-themed face filter" or "Make a quiz about dog breeds." Easy Lens's AI agents then:

1. Plan the concept and select the right building blocks
2. Generate assets (images, 3D models, textures) using ML generators
3. Write the code (Lens Controller) that glues everything together
4. Assemble the Lens and show you a live preview

You can iterate by sending follow-up messages, use Visual Edits to adjust elements directly on the preview, or request Asset Variations to explore different looks. Once you're happy, hit publish.

Blocks are the building blocks of every Easy Lens creation. Each block provides a specific capability - like adding a hat, replacing a background, applying a face mask, or running an AI generator. The AI selects and combines the right blocks based on your prompt, and new blocks are added regularly. You can ask Easy Lens "What features can I use?" to discover what's available.

Visual Edits let you fine-tune your Lens without writing any prompts. After a Lens is generated, you can drag, resize, and reposition elements directly on the preview - for example, moving a sticker, adjusting text placement, or repositioning a face overlay. Changes are reflected instantly so you can experiment before committing.

Easy Lens supports uploading your own images and videos directly in the chat. You can:

• Upload an image to use as a sticker, background, texture, or reference for AI generation
• Drop a reference image into the chat as visual inspiration - Easy Lens will try to match the layout, style, or mood
• Provide a photo for AI-powered features like Selfie Attachments or Style Gen, where your image is used as input for model training or generation

All uploaded content goes through safety checks before it's used in your Lens.

Yes. Easy Lens gives you several ways to refine your Lens after the first version is generated:

• Follow-up prompts - send a message like "Change the background to a beach" or "Make the score text bigger" and the AI will update the Lens
• Visual Edits - drag, resize, and reposition elements directly on the preview without writing any prompts
• Asset Variations - ask for alternative versions of any asset (e.g., "Show me variations for the background") and pick the one you like
• Resumable Conversations - return to a prior chat session anytime to continue editing a Lens you started earlier

Yes. When browsing the Easy Lens feed, you can tap Remix on any eligible Lens. This opens a new chat session pre-loaded with the original Lens's concept, allowing you to modify, personalize, and publish your own version. Your remix is an independent Lens - the original creator's Lens stays untouched.

Once your Lens is ready:

1. Tap Publish - Easy Lens auto-generates an icon and name for your Lens
2. Review and optionally customize the name, icon, and description
3. Submit - your Lens goes through Snap's review process and becomes available on Snapchat

You can share your published Lens via Snapcode, link, or directly within Snapchat.

Once published, your Lens can be discovered in several ways:

• Snapchat - through the Lens carousel, Lens Explorer, and search
• Easy Lens feed - other creators and explorers can browse, try, and remix your Lens in the Easy Lens app and web
• Direct sharing - share your Lens link or Snapcode on social media, messaging apps, or anywhere you want

The more engagement your Lens gets (reactions, shares, plays), the more likely it is to surface organically in the feed.

You can track your Lens performance in several places:

• Easy Lens - check your profile page in the app or web to see statistics on your published Lenses
• Snapchat - view Lens stats from your profile page on Snapchat
• My Lenses - visit my-lenses.snapchat.com or open Lens Studio for detailed metrics including views, shares, favorites, and total plays

Inside Easy Lens, you can also see engagement signals like reactions on your Lenses in the feed.

Lenses are reviewed against Snap's community guidelines and content policies. If your Lens is rejected:

1. Check the rejection reason - Snap provides a reason explaining what policy was violated (e.g., inappropriate content, trademark issues, safety concerns)
2. Edit your Lens - return to Easy Lens, open the conversation where you created the Lens, and make the necessary changes. On the Web, you can access your previous conversations from the left navigation bar.
3. Resubmit - publish again once you've addressed the issue

Common rejection reasons include unsafe generated content, copyrighted material, or missing camera visibility in game-type Lenses. If you believe the rejection was a mistake, you can reach out through Snap support.
