Publish your Lens and share it on Snapchat

From a finished preview to a live Lens, plus what to do when the review sends it back.

  1. Watch the preview once from the start before you publish. Check that text is readable on a phone, and that the effect still works when you move.

  2. Tap Publish. Easy Lens writes an icon, a name and a description for you.

  3. Read all three and change what does not fit. The name and the icon are what someone sees before they try the Lens, so they decide whether anyone opens it.

  4. Submit. Snap reviews every Lens against the community guidelines and the content policies.

  5. If the review sends it back, read the reason first. The common ones are unsafe generated content, copyrighted material, and a game Lens that hides the camera. Open the conversation again, from the left navigation bar on the web, fix that one thing and publish again.

  6. When the Lens is live, share it with a Snapcode, with a link, or straight from Snapchat. People also find it through the Lens carousel, Lens Explorer, search and the Easy Lens feed.

  7. To see how it is doing, open your profile page in Easy Lens or in Snapchat, or go to my-lenses.snapchat.com for views, shares, favorites and plays.

Your Lens is live on Snapchat, you know the three ways to share it, and you know what to do with a rejection.
