Make a beauty Lens in minutes

The whole flow on one Lens: the questions Easy Lens asks you, one change per message, and how to go back when an edit makes it worse.

  1. Sign in with your Snapchat account at easylens.snapchat.com, or use the Easy Lens app on iOS or Android.

  2. Find the create box at the bottom of the screen and describe the Lens in one sentence: "Make me a Beauty Lens of me as a Mayan Goddess." Keep it loose. A rough idea works better than a careful one, because you are going to change it in a minute anyway.

  3. Answer the questions Easy Lens asks before it builds. Each answer narrows the look, so what comes back is yours and not a default. If none of the options fit, say so and describe what you want instead.

  4. Read the plan it writes from your answers. It repeats the choices you made, then names the assets it will generate and the visual direction, before it spends time building any of it.

  5. Change one thing per message. "Make it better" gives Easy Lens nothing to work with, so name the thing you want: "Make the crown bigger." Then send the next one on its own: "Add exotic birds in the background."

  6. Easy Lens lists the blocks it used beside the preview, and you never pick them yourself. This Lens takes Artistic Makeup for the gold and bronze look, Selfie Attachments to hold the crown on your head, Face Events to catch your smile, Sparkles for the shimmer that follows it, and Post Process - Adjust to grade the whole picture so the crown and the temple sit together.

  7. Go back if you break it. Easy Lens saves a version every time you change something, so find the version marker between the two prompts and restore the one you liked.

  8. Tap Publish. Easy Lens writes an icon, a name and a description, and you can change all three. Choose whether anyone can find the Lens and whether other people can remix it, then submit for review.
