Make a Lens that edits the whole scene
Immersive Edits builds a Lens from one change to the whole frame: a new style, new light, a new background, or something added to the person in it. You can describe the change, show it with a picture, or both, and it is the slow tool in the suite.
Sign in at easylens.snapchat.com and open the Gen AI suite at /assets. Immersive Edits is the card that reads Edit the whole scene with Immersive Edits — restyle a photo as a painting or illustration, relight it, swap the background, or add makeup and accessories. Try Now opens it.

Read the time in the header before you start. Average Processing Time: 3+ hours is the number to plan around, against 15 seconds for AI Edits, the other photo edit on the same page. Send it when you can leave it running, not when you want to look at a result in a minute.

Write the change in Edit, the box under Create Full-Frame Photo Edits. It opens empty, and Create My Lens stays greyed out until there is something in it. Say what changes and what it should look like after, the way the hint in the empty box does: "Relight my whole photo with warm golden-hour side lighting."

Borrow an edit if the blank box is the hard part. Six examples sit under the preview, from Neon Brush to Cat Face Paint, and tapping one loads its full edit into the box ready to change. The arrows either side of the preview step through the same six, and the dice in the corner of the box, Shuffle Edit, deals one at random.
Hover over the preview before you pick, which is what the line under it, Hover to see before and after, asks you to do. Each example is a clip of the finished edit, and hovering it shows the same shot from before the edit, so you can see how much of the frame one sentence changed.
Add a picture of the look if words are not the easy way in. Image reference (optional) is the section under Edit, and the line under the title sets the rule: Describe your edit and/or upload a reference image — at least one is required. A sentence alone is enough, and so is a reference alone.
Read the line along the bottom before you build. It prints the sentence that actually gets sent, Give me a long generation async MegaGen effect, with your edit on the end. MegaGen is this tool's name inside Easy Lens, so that line is right rather than a mistake. If the sentence does not describe the change in your head, fix the edit rather than the Lens.

Tap Create My Lens, then change one thing per message. A follow-up such as "keep the plush look, make the light warmer" gives Easy Lens something to act on, and "make it better" does not. You can also ask for variations of an asset, or drag things around on the preview with Visual Edits, without writing another prompt.
Tap Publish when the edit reads the way you meant it. Easy Lens writes a name, an icon and a description, you fix whatever does not fit, and then you submit for Snap's review.
You have a Lens built from one change to the whole frame, and you know the two things that set this tool apart: a picture can stand in for the words, and the wait is hours rather than seconds.
