Make a tap to play game that keeps score

A playable game with a score, a best score that survives, and a ranked list of your friends.

  1. Sign in and open a chat. Describe the game and how you play it: "Make a game where I tap to catch falling fruit, and I lose a life if I miss."

  2. Easy Lens picks the pieces the game needs. Touch Events reads your taps, Physics2D makes the fruit fall and bounce, Sprite Store and Sprite Manager hold and move the pictures, and Text On Screen shows the score.

  3. Play it in the preview. Then say what to change: "Make the fruit fall slower and give me three lives."

  4. Ask for the parts that keep players coming back. Persistent Storage remembers a best score between plays, Leaderboard ranks your friends, and Haptics buzzes the phone: "Save my best score and buzz when I miss."

  5. Keep your camera in the picture. A game Lens that hides the camera is a common reason Snap rejects a Lens. Ask for a small live camera view, which is what Selfie Widget puts in the corner of the screen.

  6. Check the score text on a phone screen. If it is hard to read, say so: "Make the score bigger and move it to the top." You can also drag it there with Visual Edits.

  7. Tap Publish, review the name and icon, then submit.

You have a game anyone can play in Snapchat, with a score on screen, a saved best score and a leaderboard.
